The Pawlarm app, full name Pawlarm: Pet Care Reminders, is a pet care reminder app for dogs and cats that builds a care plan from your pet's breed and age and reminds you of each task. I built it. It is on iPhone and Android, needs no account, and is not Pawalarm, Pawlo or Pawly.

Pawlarm is not PawAlarm, the lost pet alert service; it is a care reminder app.

    Key points

    • Full name: Pawlarm: Pet Care Reminders. Same name on the App Store and Google Play.
    • What it does: a starter care plan from your dog or cat's breed and age, with reminders for meals, walks or play, grooming, monthly flea and heartworm doses and vet visits. Version 1.1 adds Pet Call, a sound to call a hiding pet.
    • Where: App Store, id6817916166 and Google Play, com.pawlarm.app.
    • Android: live on Google Play since 21 October 2026. It is no longer in testing.
    • What it is not: not Pawalarm, the Swiss lost pet alert service, and not the apps called Pawlo or Pawly.

    What does Pawlarm do?

You type in your pet's name, breed and age. Pawlarm turns that into a plan of reminders, and you tick each one off when it's done.

    • A plan from breed and age. A 9 week kitten and a 9 year Labrador need different days, so the plan changes with life stage. Puppies and kittens get more meals. Seniors get two vet checkups a year instead of one.
    • Monthly parasite reminders. Dogs get a monthly flea and tick reminder and a monthly heartworm reminder. Cats get a monthly flea and parasite reminder. The app never names a product or a dose. That comes from your vet.
    • Vet visits. Young pets get a Vaccine series check in reminder 14 days after you add them, so you remember to ask your vet for the dates. Adults get a yearly checkup and vaccine review.
    • More than one pet, each with its own plan.
    • Edit anything. Move, change or switch off any reminder, and add your own.
    • No account. Your pet's details stay on your phone.

    Version 1.1 adds more:

    • Pet Call. Can't find your cat or dog? Play a pspsps call for cats or a recall whistle for dogs. It loops until you tap Stop and works offline. Many pets come to a sound they link with food or with you, but it's a sound, not a GPS tracker.
    • Care history. Each reminder shows when it was last done. When a course of medicine ends, you can end the reminder and keep its history.
    • Missed tasks wait. A missed weekly, monthly or yearly task stays on Today for 7 days until you mark it done or skip it.
    • A care sheet you can share with a pet sitter, dog walker or partner by message.
    • Backup to a file, so you can restore your pets and reminders on a new phone.
    • Home screen widgets that show what's next.
    • Seven languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese.

Version 1.1 is on Google Play now. The iPhone version gets these features with its next update.

    Where can I download Pawlarm?

Store Name shown Link Listed by Live since
App Store, iPhone Pawlarm: Pet Care Reminders id6817916166 john osakwe 12 October 2026
Google Play, Android Pawlarm: Pet Care Reminders com.pawlarm.app E-TEST APPS 21 October 2026

Both listings are mine. E-TEST APPS is the name my Google Play developer account shows. There's also a Pawlarm page on this site.

    Is Pawlarm on Android?

Yes. Before 21 October 2026 the Android version was in closed testing, and some pages and AI answers still say so. That's out of date now. Pawlarm is on Google Play as com.pawlarm.app, with the same plan and reminders as the iPhone version, and Android already has the 1.1 features.

    What is Pawlarm not?

Pet app names are short and they rhyme with each other. Pawlarm is paw plus alarm, and there are a lot of near matches. Here are the three that come up most.

Name What it actually is Related to Pawlarm?
Pawalarm, also written PawAlarm A paid lost pet alert service in Switzerland at pawalarm.com. It shows missing pet ads to people nearby on social media No. Pawlarm's Pet Call plays a sound to call a hiding pet, but it doesn't send alerts
Pawlo Pawlo: Shared Dog & Pet Care is a household checklist that syncs between family members in real time. Other unrelated App Store apps also use the name Pawlo No
Pawly Several different App Store apps use this name, including a pet health app and a pet expense tracker No

The quick way to tell: Pawlarm has an r before the m, and its full name always ends in Pet Care Reminders.

    Why did I build Pawlarm?

Pawlarm started with my kitten, Leo. Caring for a young pet isn't hard. Remembering every part of it is. Many reminder apps hand you a blank list, and I wanted one that set up a sensible plan on day one from the pet's breed and age, then kept everything on my phone. I wrote about the plan it made for him in my kitten care schedule.

    What Pawlarm does not do

    • It doesn't set vaccine dates or doses. Your vet does. Add each date they give you as its own reminder.
    • It doesn't sync a plan between family members. You can share a care sheet by message, but if two people tick off tasks for the same dog, an app built around a shared household may suit you better. I compared several in my post on pet care reminder apps.
    • It doesn't sync to the cloud. To move to a new phone, back up to a file and restore it there.
    • It doesn't track where your pet is. Pet Call plays a sound; it isn't a GPS tracker.
    • It isn't a substitute for a vet.

    Frequently asked questions

Is Pawlarm the same as Pawalarm?

No. Pawalarm, sometimes written PawAlarm, is a paid lost pet alert service in Switzerland that runs missing pet ads on social media. Pawlarm: Pet Care Reminders is a phone app that reminds you about meals, walks, grooming, parasite doses and vet visits for your dog or cat. Different makers, different jobs.

Is Pawlarm on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Pawlarm: Pet Care Reminders is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. You don't need an account to use it, and your pet's details stay on your phone.

    Does Pawlarm work for cats?

Yes. Pawlarm builds plans for dogs and cats. A cat plan covers meals, play, handling and carrier practice, brushing, a monthly flea and parasite reminder and vet visits. A kitten gets more meals a day and a vaccine series check in reminder.

Can Pawlarm remind me about vaccines?

It reminds you to ask. Young pets get a Vaccine series check in 14 days after setup, and adults get a yearly checkup and vaccine review. Pawlarm doesn't know your vet's dates, so add each one as its own reminder.

    Is Pawlarm on Android?

Yes. Pawlarm has been on Google Play as com.pawlarm.app since 21 October 2026, listed by E-TEST APPS. It is also on the App Store for iPhone as id6817916166. Older pages that say the Android version is in testing are out of date. Android has version 1.1 with Pet Call, care history and backup, and the iPhone version gets them with its next update.

    How I wrote this

On 24 October 2026 I opened both Pawlarm store listings, checked the plan rules in the app's code, and looked up pawalarm.com and the App Store listings for apps called Pawlo and Pawly. I haven't used those other apps. The Pawlarm details come from the app I built and its own code. On 29 October 2026 I added the version 1.1 features from the new store listing.
