What goes into a CBT platform

- Timed sessions.A clock that counts down and a submit step that ends the session. In Etest JAMB CBT you choose 60, 90, 120, 150 or 180 minutes.
- A question navigator.A way to jump between questions, flag the ones you’re unsure of and see what you’ve left unanswered.
- Scoring and results.A score, your accuracy and a breakdown by subject. After the exam you can review every answer with its explanation.
- A study mode.Instant answers after each question, with no timer. Students need both modes.
- A study plan.Etest JAMB CBT builds a day by day revision schedule from the student’s exam date and the topics they get wrong most.
What carries over to a school platform
Etest JAMB CBT is a student facing mobile app, and the exam engine in it is live and working: the timer, the question navigator, the scoring and the answer review. A school or exam prep center usually also needs staff accounts, question upload, result exports and rules about who sees which results. I haven’t shipped that staff side yet, so I scope it with you from scratch and price it separately in the quote.
CBT software for schools in Nigeria and abroad
I build CBT software for Nigerian schools and exam prep centers, and for organizations outside Nigeria that need timed tests on a screen. A school CBT usually takes one of two shapes. In the first, students practice on phones or laptops before the real exam, which is close to what Etest JAMB CBT already does. In the second, the school runs its own internal tests and needs scored results, which needs the staff side described above, in other words an exam portal.

Does it work without internet?
Etest JAMB CBT includes study guides that work offline. For your platform we decide together which parts must work offline, because offline scoring and syncing add work.
How long does it take?
The delivery date goes in the written quote once the scope is fixed. A practice app and a school testing system are very different amounts of work.
Who owns the platform?
You do. You own the code and the assets once the project is paid for.
Is it a web platform or a mobile app?
Either. Etest JAMB CBT is a mobile app. If your students take tests on school computers, we build it for the browser.
