Tactics Board 3D Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Tactics Board 3D app ("Tactics Board", "the app", "we", "us") uses, why, who else is involved, and the rights you have. It applies to Tactics Board on iPhone, iPad and Android.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Tactics Board is made by John Osakwe (Etest), Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, the data controller for the processing described here.
Contact for anything about privacy, including requests to use your rights: info@etestweb.com
2. The short version
- There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your plays, steps, drawings, player names and saved teams are stored only on your device. We don't receive them.
- The free app shows ads from Google AdMob. In the EU, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before ads are personalised. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's "Allow tracking" prompt also applies.
- On iPhone and iPad you can buy Tactics Board Premium. Apple handles the payment, and RevenueCat confirms your purchase so the app can unlock Premium. Premium has no ads. Premium is not sold on Android.
- The app does not use analytics or tracking tools of its own, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Data that stays on your device
Everything you create is saved in the app's private storage on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else: your plays and their names, every step with player and ball positions, passes, runs, zones and pen drawings, pitch sizes and formations, player names and shirt numbers, kit colours and saved teams.
- Sharing: when you tap Share, the app makes an image or animation of your play and hands it to your device's share sheet. You choose where it goes (for example Messages, WhatsApp or Mail). We never receive it.
- Save to Photos: the app asks for permission to add images to your photo library and only ever saves the board pictures you choose. It does not read, scan or upload your photos.
- Deleting the app deletes all of this data from your device.
4. Data handled by third parties
Advertising — Google AdMob
In the free app, ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC; for users in the EEA and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited). Ads appear on the plays library and, at most once every few minutes, after you share a play. They never appear while you are editing the board. To show and measure ads, prevent fraud, and limit how often you see the same ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS if you allow tracking, or the Android advertising ID), your IP address (which can indicate your approximate location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
- Personalised ads are shown only with your consent: through the consent message shown in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and on iPhone/iPad only if you allow tracking. Without consent you see non-personalised ads, which still use limited data for the purposes above.
- You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices (where the law requires it), in your device's settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads), or by deleting your advertising ID.
- Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — How Google uses data from partner apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Premium users don't see ads.
Purchases — Apple and RevenueCat (iPhone and iPad only)
Payments for Tactics Board Premium are processed by Apple (App Store) under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We never see your card or payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple ID settings.
To confirm what you've bought and unlock Premium (including "Restore purchases"), the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (USA). RevenueCat processes a random app user ID created on your device, your purchase and subscription history (product, dates, renewal status and receipts from Apple), and basic device and app information such as the operating system, app version, country and IP address. App stores
Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as download counts and crash rates) under their own privacy policies.
5. Why we use data, and our legal basis (GDPR)
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Providing Premium and restoring purchases | RevenueCat data in §4 | Performance of a contract (6(1)(b)) |
| Personalised ads | Advertising ID, ad interaction data | Your consent (6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Non-personalised ads, ad fraud prevention, frequency capping | Limited device data, IP address | Our legitimate interest in funding a free app (6(1)(f)), and consent where the law requires it |
| Responding to your emails | Your email address and message | Legitimate interest (6(1)(f)) |
6. International transfers
Google and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, these providers rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long data is kept
- Data on your device: until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- RevenueCat purchase records: for as long as needed to provide your purchases and meet legal and tax obligations, then deleted under RevenueCat's retention policy.
- Advertising data: under Google's retention policies.
- Emails to us: up to two years after the conversation ends.
8. Your rights
If you're in the EEA, UK or Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR), in Nigeria (Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023) or in another place with similar laws, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it ("right to be forgotten")
- restrict or object to its processing, including processing based on legitimate interest
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
- complain to a data protection authority, such as the one in your country (in the UK, the ICO; in Nigeria, the NDPC)
Because there's no account, we can't link data to you by name. To make a request about RevenueCat purchase data, email us from the address on your App Store receipt, or include your purchase's order ID, and we will act on it within one month. Requests about advertising data can also be made directly to Google.
US residents: we don't sell personal information. Personalised advertising may count as "sharing" under some US state laws. You can opt out with your device's ad settings or the in-app privacy choices described above.
9. Children
Tactics Board is a tool for coaches and players and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. Player names typed into a play stay on the device that created them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
Your plays never leave your device unless you share or save them yourself. Data shared with RevenueCat and Google is transmitted over encrypted connections.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes.
