Soda tracker apps that show the money you save, compared

Which soda tracker apps add up the money you save by not drinking soda, how each one works it out, and who each suits. I make FizzFree, so I say so.

A man holding a glass jar of coins labelled savings

A soda tracker that shows money saved asks what you drink and what it costs, then adds up what you didn't spend. Of the six apps I checked on 24 October 2026, four show money saved: FizzFree, Fizzless, Quitzilla and I Am Sober. NoFizz and Days Since don't mention it. I make FizzFree, so weigh that.

    Key points

    • Four of the six apps show a money saved number: FizzFree, Fizzless, Quitzilla and I Am Sober.
    • Only FizzFree and Fizzless are made for soda and also show sugar. FizzFree adds caffeine and covers energy drinks.
    • The number is only as good as the price you type in. Use what you really pay, not a guess.
    • I made FizzFree. Everything about the other apps comes from their own store listings, and I haven't used them.

Is there an app that tracks how much money you save by not drinking soda?

Yes, several. The good ones ask three things: what you drink, how much, and what you pay. From then on every day without soda adds that amount to a running total.

Why does this matter so much? Honestly, because health is slow and money is fast. You won't feel a difference in your teeth on day 4. You will see a number that has grown every day since you started. I think money saved is the most motivating number a soda app can show, and it's the screen I check most in my own app.

How do the soda tracker apps compare on money saved?

This is what each listing said on the US App Store on 24 October 2026, plus Google Play where I looked it up. Listings change, so check the store before you choose.

App Made for Money saved, per the listing Other numbers Where I found it
FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker Soda, diet soda, malt and energy drinks Yes, from your drink, size and price, in your own currency, toward a goal you name Sugar, caffeine iPhone and Android
Fizzless: Quit Soda Tracker Soda Yes, estimated savings Sugar, calories iPhone
Quitzilla Any habit Yes, a leading statistic, from what you usually spend Time since you quit iPhone and Android
I Am Sober Any addiction Yes, a money and time calculator Days, milestones iPhone and Android
NoFizz: Quit Soda Now Soda, as a program Not mentioned A 100 day program iPhone and Android
Days Since Any habit Not mentioned Time since you last did it iPhone

I only checked Fizzless and Days Since on the App Store. They may have Android versions I didn't look for.

How does each app work out the money?

FizzFree. You pick regular soda, diet soda, malt drinks or energy drinks, the size and the price you pay. Its Sugar Jar stacks the sugar you didn't drink as cubes, and the money you kept fills a goal you name, in your own currency. For energy drinks it counts the caffeine you skipped too.

Fizzless. Its listing says it shows estimated savings in money, sugar and calories. It doesn't say how you enter the price, so check that before you rely on the number.

Quitzilla. You enter the money you usually spend on the habit. Its listing calls money saved one of its leading statistics, and its rewards feature is that same money shown as something you've earned.

I Am Sober. A sobriety calculator shows money and time saved. It's built for any addiction, so you name soda yourself.

The general apps work fine for money. What they can't do is tell you the sugar or caffeine, because they don't know what a can contains.

    Which soda tracker suits you?

    • You want money and sugar together. A soda tracker such as FizzFree or Fizzless.
    • You drink energy drinks too. FizzFree counts soda and energy drinks in one app.
    • You're quitting more than soda. Quitzilla or I Am Sober keep several habits in one place, each with its own money count.
    • You want a structured program more than numbers. NoFizz.

If you want the wider comparison, with community apps and simple counters, I wrote quit soda apps compared. If you want the yearly figure itself, see what quitting soda saves in a year.

How do you make the money number honest?

Type in what you really pay. That sounds obvious, but if you mostly buy single cold bottles on the go, the shelf price of a multipack is the wrong number.

Prices change, too. If you're in Nigeria, I keep a dated list in soft drink prices in Nigeria. When your price goes up, update it in the app so the total stays real.

FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker runs on iPhone and Android with no account. Get it on the App Store or Google Play, or see the FizzFree page.

    Frequently asked questions

Which app shows how much money I save by quitting soda?

FizzFree, Fizzless, Quitzilla and I Am Sober all show money saved, according to their store listings on 24 October 2026. FizzFree and Fizzless are made for soda and also show sugar. Quitzilla and I Am Sober are general habit apps where you enter what you usually spend.

Does the money saved count work in naira or pounds?

In FizzFree, yes. You enter the price you pay and it adds up money saved in your own currency. The other listings don't say how they handle currency, so check inside the app before you rely on it.

Can a habit tracker count soda money instead of a soda app?

Yes. Quitzilla and I Am Sober both count money saved for any habit you set up. What they can't show is the sugar, caffeine or calories you skipped, because they don't know what you drank. If those numbers help you, pick a soda tracker.

    How I wrote this

On 24 October 2026 I searched the US App Store for quit soda apps and read each listing, then checked Google Play for the ones in the table marked Android. I didn't install the other apps. FizzFree is my own app, and its details come from the app itself.
