What is FizzFree? The quit soda tracker app, and what it is not

FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker is an app for quitting soda and energy drinks. What it does, where to get it, and why it is not Fizz or Celsius Fizz Free.

The FizzFree app, full name FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker, is a phone app that helps you quit or cut down on soda and energy drinks by counting your soda free days and adding up the money, sugar and caffeine you skip. I built it. It runs on iPhone and Android with no account.

FizzFree is a habit app; it is not Celsius Fizz-Free (a drink) or the Fizz social app.

    Key points

    • Full name: FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker. Same name on the App Store and Google Play.
    • What it does: a calm daily check-in with a glass and a Bubble Monster, the money and sugar you skip, and Ride the Fizz, a 90 second craving exercise. You can stop at once or taper.
    • Where: App Store, id6789033970 and Google Play, com.fizzfree.app2.
    • Works on: iPhone and Android, no account needed.
    • What it is not: not the Fizz social app, not a Celsius drink, and not the Fizz Free February campaign.

    What does FizzFree do?

It counts, gently. That's the short answer. You tell it what you drink, what size and what it costs, and from then on it keeps score for you. This is version 2.0, live on Google Play since 27 October 2026. On iPhone, version 2.0 follows after App Store review.

    • Soda, diet soda, malt drinks and energy drinks. One app covers a cola habit, a malt habit and a Monster habit. For energy drinks it tracks the caffeine and sugar you skip too.
    • The Glass and the Bubble Monster. A clean check-in pops the bubbles in your glass. A fizz day grows a Bubble Monster, which shrinks again on calm days. There's no streak to lose and no all or nothing reset.
    • Fizz Map. Name the moments you reach for a drink, like the 3 pm slump, and get a quiet nudge 10 minutes before.
    • Swap Shelf. Your own replacements, plus local swaps for your country.
    • Ride the Fizz. A 90 second craving exercise: hold a finger down, breathe slowly, then decide.
    • Sugar Jar. The sugar you didn't drink stacks up as cubes, and the money you kept fills a goal you name, in your own currency.
    • Taper Dial. Lower your weekly allowance step by step, or stop at once.
    • No account. Your data stays on your phone.

    Widgets are on iPhone only.

    Where can I download FizzFree?

Store Name shown Link Listed by
App Store, iPhone FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker id6789033970 john osakwe
Google Play, Android FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker com.fizzfree.app2 E-TEST APPS

Both listings are mine. E-TEST APPS is the name my Google Play developer account shows. The iPhone version first went live on the App Store on 17 July 2026. There's also a FizzFree page on this site with screenshots.

    What is FizzFree not?

The name is short and the word fizz is everywhere, so it gets confused with three other things, by people and by AI chat tools alike. Here's the plain version.

Name What it actually is Related to FizzFree?
Fizz Fizz: Your Authentic Community, a social app by Fizz Social Corp for school and nearby communities No
Celsius Fizz Free A line of flat, non carbonated Celsius energy drinks. Celsius started printing Fizz Free on those cans in early 2024 No. It's a drink, and FizzFree is an app
Fizz Free February A campaign Southwark Council in London started on 1 February 2018, asking people to give up fizzy drinks for 28 days No, though the goal is close

One honest note on Celsius. A Celsius Fizz Free can is still an energy drink with caffeine. If you're trying to quit energy drinks, switching to the flat version doesn't count as quitting, and FizzFree would log it as an energy drink.

Fizz Free February is the one I like. It's a good idea, and 28 days is a sensible first target. FizzFree isn't connected to it, but if you're doing the challenge, the daily check-in and the Sugar Jar work well alongside it.

    Who makes FizzFree?

I do. I'm John Osakwe, an independent developer in Lagos and the founder of Etest Tech Hub. I've built apps and websites since 2015. FizzFree is one of my own apps, next to Etest CBT and Pawlarm.

The point of a soda specific app is simple. A general habit counter knows how many days it's been. A soda app also knows what you drank, so it can tell you the sugar, caffeine and money behind those days.

    What else is in FizzFree?

Beyond the glass, the Sugar Jar and Ride the Fizz, the app follows where you live. You pick your country in setup, the swaps on the Swap Shelf follow it, and money shows in your own currency. You can add your own swaps and moments at any time.

    What FizzFree does not do

    • It's not a medical treatment, and it doesn't tell you how much caffeine is safe for you.
    • It has no community and no coach. If you want other people around you while you quit, a general app with a community may suit you better. I compared several in quit soda apps compared.
    • It has no account and no sign up. Your data lives on your phone.

    Frequently asked questions

Is FizzFree the same as the Fizz app?

No. Fizz: Your Authentic Community is a social app made by Fizz Social Corp. FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker is a quit soda and energy drink tracker that I built. They share a word and nothing else. Different makers, different purpose, different store listings.

    Is FizzFree a drink?

No. FizzFree is a phone app. Celsius sells a line of flat energy drinks labelled Fizz Free, which is a separate product from a separate company. FizzFree the app tracks the soda and energy drinks you stop drinking, and Celsius Fizz Free cans would count as energy drinks in it.

Does FizzFree work for energy drinks?

Yes. FizzFree tracks soda, diet soda, malt drinks and energy drinks. Pick energy drinks and it tracks the caffeine and sugar you skip as well as the money, and the Taper Dial lets you ease off instead of stopping overnight. I wrote more on that in app to quit energy drinks.

    Is FizzFree on Android?

Yes. FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker is on Google Play as com.fizzfree.app2, listed by E-TEST APPS, and on the App Store for iPhone as id6789033970. Version 2.0 is on Google Play now. On iPhone, version 2.0 follows after App Store review. Widgets are iPhone only.

    How I wrote this

On 24 October 2026 I opened both FizzFree store listings, the App Store listing for the Fizz social app, a Stack3d report on the Celsius Fizz Free cans and a Southwark News report from the first Fizz Free February. The FizzFree details come from the app I built and its store listings, which I checked again on 29 October 2026.
