Seven quit soda apps compared from their App Store listings: what each tracks, what costs money and who each suits. I made FizzFree, so I say so.

Quit Soda Apps Compared: An Honest Look

Quit soda apps fall into three groups: trackers made only for soda, structured programs, and general habit counters that work for soda too. I built FizzFree, one of the soda trackers, so read this with that in mind. Below I compare seven apps using only what their App Store listings say, and I note what I could not check.

    Key points

    • I made FizzFree. Everything else here comes from the other apps' own App Store listings, read on 22 October 2026.
    • Soda only trackers: FizzFree and Fizzless. A structured program: NoFizz. General habit apps: Quitzilla, I Am Sober, Days Since and HabitIt.
    • I did not install the other apps, check their Android versions or use star ratings, because ratings change from week to week.
    • Pick the app you will open every day. That matters more than the feature list.

What do quit soda apps track?

Most of them track a streak of days without soda. The differences are in what comes next.

    • Money saved. Several apps add up what you would have spent. It is the number I watch most in my own app.
    • Sugar and caffeine. Fewer apps track these, because they need to know what you drank.
    • Cravings. Some apps log cravings so you can see patterns. Some give you something to do during one.
    • Tapering. Some let you cut down slowly instead of stopping at once.

How do the quit soda apps compare?

This is what each listing said on the US App Store on 22 October 2026. Prices and features can change, so check the store before you decide.

App Type What the listing says it does Paid parts, per the listing
FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker Soda and energy drinks Streak, money, sugar, caffeine and calories saved, craving SOS timer, quit or reduce mode, no account Free with ads, optional Premium
NoFizz: Quit Soda Now Program A 100 day program with a daily checkup and exercises Free download with limited access, subscription for the full program
Fizzless: Quit Soda Tracker Soda tracker A private streak tracker with cravings and milestones, no accounts Listed at 2.99 US dollars
Quitzilla: Quit Tracker Any habit Time since you quit and money saved, plus your own reasons to quit Free to download
I Am Sober Any addiction Day tracker, a daily pledge, money and time saved, triggers and a community Free to download
Days Since: Quit Habit Tracker Any habit One simple counter per habit Free to download
AI Goal-Habit Tracker: HabitIt Any goal Builds a day by day plan and adjusts when you slip Free to download

I also looked for Fizzle, which some lists mention. I could not find an app by that name on the US App Store, so it is not in the table.

    What does FizzFree do differently?

FizzFree is the app I built, so here is what it does and does not do.

    • It counts regular soda, diet soda and energy drinks.
    • It shows money saved and the sugar, caffeine and calories you skipped.
    • Craving SOS gives you a timer, swaps and your own reason for quitting.
    • You can quit at once or use reduce mode to taper over the weeks you choose.
    • Everyone gets a free streak freeze each month.
    • There is no account, and your data stays on your phone.

The tracker is free with ads. Premium is optional and adds the rest of the 30 day Soda Detox, more freezes, craving insights, a caffeine chart and themes, and removes the ads. FizzFree is on iPhone and Android. See FizzFree, or get it on the App Store or Google Play.

It has no community and no coach. If you want people around you while you quit, I Am Sober's listing describes a community.

Which quit soda app suits you?

    • You want to see money and sugar add up. A soda tracker such as FizzFree.
    • You want a program with a lesson every day. NoFizz, or the Soda Detox in FizzFree Premium.
    • You are quitting more than one thing. A general app such as Quitzilla or I Am Sober keeps it all in one place.
    • You want almost nothing on screen. Days Since is a single counter.

If you want a plan to go with the app, my 14 day plan to quit soda is a good place to start.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are quit soda apps free?

Most are free to download, but many charge for part of the app. FizzFree's tracker is free with ads and Premium is optional. NoFizz's listing says a subscription opens its full program. Fizzless was listed at 2.99 US dollars on 22 October 2026. Check the store page before you start.

Do I need a soda app or will a habit tracker do?

A habit tracker will count your days. A soda app can also show money, sugar and caffeine saved, because it knows what you drank. If the streak alone keeps you going, a general habit app is fine. If numbers help, pick a soda tracker.

Why did you not include star ratings?

Ratings move every week and many soda apps have very few, so a rating would be out of date soon after I published this. I also make one of the apps, and I did not want to lean on numbers I cannot keep current. Check the store for today's ratings.

    Is FizzFree on Android?

Yes. FizzFree is on iPhone and Android, with no account. On Google Play it is listed as FizzFree: Quit Soda Tracker. The home screen and lock screen widgets are on iPhone only.

    How I wrote this

On 22 October 2026 I searched the US App Store and read the listing of each app in the table. I did not install the other apps or check their Android versions. FizzFree is my own app, and its details come from the app and its page on this site.
